UnWrest

What's up everyone? This week on UnWrest, you will get my big thoughts on Raw, Smackdown, NXT, ROH, and Impact Wrestling. In addition, we have a Podcast Recommendation and a match that ends up in the Atlantic Freaking Ocean. Let's Do This!!! Raw Thoughts - Well, that show happened. I really don't know what else to add really. If you missed Raw, you didn't miss a whole lot. It felt like WWE just gave up knowing they had nothing to combat the return of Monday Night Football. - Ax handles as weapons aren't exactly kendo sticks or baseball bats. Weird overall opening segment. The Shield gets some heat back but at the expense of most the locker room (including AOP who WWE decided they cared about again). Meanwhile, Strowman continues to get lukewarm receptions as a heel. I'm a little skeptical of his long-term effectiveness as a heel. - Nikki Bella wrestled. Golf clap. It's as I said on Twitter: The Bellas are over. Over with young and non-fans alike. Overexp...

Welcome to another edition of UnWrest. I think all us wrestling fans feel like we've about stuffed ourselves on the buffet of WWE programming this week. So, if you don't mind, I'm going to make this as short and sweet (maybe too sweet!) and hit on the big events of the week. Raw Thoughts - Ronda Rousey breaking Stephanie McMahon's arm is the equivalent of a Stone Cold Stunner from Austin to McMahon. I could watch that all day. I also like how Ronda differentiated herself from Brock Lesnar, letting the audience know that she WANTS to be there and loves doing so. - WWE needs to do a better job explaining just when and where The Demon will come up. On the surface, it's pretty stupid for a guy to have an unbeatable gimmick that he only uses once or twice a year. What does Finn have to do to summon The Demon up? I know it's stupid storyline garbage, but it is the type of stuff that people ask for good reason. - The Shield attacking Braun Strowman surprised me a...

Here it is. Another LONG summer night awaits all of us as WWE continues to oversaturate one Sunday Night every month with a multi-hour marathon of matches. And this month, we get even MORE wrestling as it's (in Vince voice) SUMMMMMMMMERRRRRSLAMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! I will be posting live results for the matches as they wrap up on this page, INCLUDING the Pre-Show matches. Without further ado.... HERE WE GO!!!!! 1) Mixed Tag Team Match Zelina Vega/Andrade Cien Almas vs. Lana/Rusev This half empty crowd is clapping along to Almas's theme. Lana and Rusev both do the Rusev jump pose and shirt rip on the way out. BIG RUSEV DAY chant to start us off. The bell rings. Tranquilo pose in the ropes by Almas followed by a Rusev CRUSH pose by Rusev/Lana. Almas gets an early advantage, but Rusev turns it around into a mudhole stomp in the corner. Snap suplex by Rusev. Vega distracts Rusev, and Almas attacks and throws Rusev into the ringpost. Armbar using the ropes by Almas. Cross armbre...

Welcome to a fast-paced preview of WWE SummerSlam 2018. For this, I'm going to preview each match as fast as I can and provide my personal prediction for each match. Hey. All us older wrestling fans long for the "2.5 hours and you're done" format. But I digress. That's why we have NXT. Anyways, here we go with the predictions:    1) Raw Tag Team Championships: The B-Team (c) vs. The Revival As much as I want to say The Revival will win, I just can't. There's too much going against this old school team to win the titles right now. I feel like WWE has invested, for better and for worse, in the B-Team being tag team champions for another couple months at least. So, I can't see WWE changing script right now on this team. My Prediction: The B-Team 2) Rusev and Lana vs. Andrade "Cien" Almas and Zelina Vega Aiden English is the X-Factor in this match. I have a hard time believing that WWE won't have Aiden interfere in this match and ...
