ALL IN Predictions

Well, we've finally made it to the big weekend. They're calling it the biggest event since the first WrestleMania in terms of its importance to the business. Whether you believe it or not, there's no denying that this is an incredible feat in independent wrestling. It also could be seen in a few months as the beginning of the end of this independent wrestling movement if Vince McMahon and WWE ends up signing The Elite to "Elite" contracts in his company. But I don't want to rain on anyone's parade. Instead, let's focus on the moment. This is going to be an incredible show. Here are my quick predictions for the show: 1) NWA World Heavyweight Championship Nick Aldis (c) vs. Cody It's Cody's show. The son of the son of a plummer from Austin, Texas is going to go to the pay window, if you will! My Prediction: Cody. 2) Kazuchika Okada vs. Marty Scurll I really like Marty Scurll. And I know that Okada does jobs now. But... I don't see it

UnWrest (Week of August 31, 2018)- WWE, NXT, ROH Thoughts and More!

What's up everyone? This week will be a quick review of the big happenings on Raw, Smackdown, ROH, and NXT. Let's get to it already! Raw Thoughts - Braun Strowman's "heel" turn at the end of the show was really forced. If you think about it, Braun did nothing that Roman didn't do the week before. It was simply an "eye for an eye" reaction. The key is next week. Was this a temporary alliance between himself, McIntyre, and Ziggler? Or is this the Anti-Shield? On a side note, I think Roman came off as much more sympathetic this week than he has in weeks past. I'm looking forward to that Hell in a Cell match (which I expect to close the show and cause the Cell to fall apart). - I also enjoyed the Owens vs. Rollins match for what it was. I think the match has been done so many times for me that it becomes background noise. Still, they both did a great job putting things into the match to ramp up the audience's involvement (including a KO Stone

Blog Update- August 28, 2018

What's up everyone? This is a weird week for me, and as a result, I'm having to alter the schedule for the blog a little bit. Friday- The latest UnWrest blog post will be uploaded looking at Raw, SmackDown, NXT, ROH, and more.  I will also post an All In Preview Blog that night as well where I will do a fun prediction post based on the latest announced card for the show. Saturday- All In Live Thoughts Sunday- Classic Event Review-  twitter.com/cdub1898 to vote for which event I cover. (It's the pinned post on the page.) Have a good rest of your week. And I hope to see you all back on here on Friday.  Take care of yourselves and spread some awesomeness.

NJPW/ROH War of the Worlds 2017- New York City- Adam Cole vs. The Ace, Cody vs. Daniels vs. Lethal + More

This is an impromptu review of NJPW/ROH War of the Worlds 2017. It was originally unavailable to regular Honor Club members, but apparently, ROH has decided to release this show to the JOB Squad of the Honor Club (That's what I call my tier of the service anyways. I might as well have !EM PLEH on my head.) Anyways, it's The Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Adam Cole and Cody vs. Jay Lethal  vs. Christopher Daniels for the ROH World Championship. These dual company shows are always fun to watch. So, let's do this!!! We're in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, home of several great ECW and ROH shows in the past. The Young Bucks will also be wrestling Bushi and Tetsuya Naito in a ROH Tag Team Championship match. (I think I know who's taking the fall in that one.) They run down the earlier. Plus, we're getting this opening match!!! 1) Silas Young vs. Dalton Castle vs. Kushida vs. Bobby Fish Kushida comes out in a NY Yankees jersey. That's "Sucking Up

UnWrest (Week of August 23, 2018)- A Good Week for Wrestling

Welcome to another edition of UnWrest. I think all us wrestling fans feel like we've about stuffed ourselves on the buffet of WWE programming this week. So, if you don't mind, I'm going to make this as short and sweet (maybe too sweet!) and hit on the big events of the week. Raw Thoughts - Ronda Rousey breaking Stephanie McMahon's arm is the equivalent of a Stone Cold Stunner from Austin to McMahon. I could watch that all day. I also like how Ronda differentiated herself from Brock Lesnar, letting the audience know that she WANTS to be there and loves doing so. - WWE needs to do a better job explaining just when and where The Demon will come up. On the surface, it's pretty stupid for a guy to have an unbeatable gimmick that he only uses once or twice a year. What does Finn have to do to summon The Demon up? I know it's stupid storyline garbage, but it is the type of stuff that people ask for good reason. - The Shield attacking Braun Strowman surprised me a

G1 Climax 28 Review- The Best of Times, The Worst of Times

For the final time, let's play that G1 Climax 28 theme....  Well, it's been almost 10 days since the end of the G1 Climax 28 (as of this writing). I've given myself some time to mull over the tournament as a whole and come up with some unbiased thoughts on it. So, in this, you will find my best of the tournament and my worst of the tournament as well as my overall thoughts on the tournament.  Best Performers 5. Tetsuya Naito- Naito had a really solid tournament. Match to match, Naito was definitely solid in the performances he had. However, I don't believe he had a match that truly stood out from the rest of the people on this list. Still, he makes the Top 5. After all, he is Tetsuya Naito. 4. Kenny Omega- The Best Bout Machine had a few amazing bouts in this tournament, but he wasn't even the best performer in his block. His matches with Ishii, Naito, and Ibushi were among my favorites of the tournament. 3. Hiroshi Tanahashi- The Ace proved that he still h

WWE SummerSlam 2018 - Lesnar vs. Reigns, AJ vs. Joe, Bryan vs. Miz, Rollins vs. Ziggler

Here it is. Another LONG summer night awaits all of us as WWE continues to oversaturate one Sunday Night every month with a multi-hour marathon of matches. And this month, we get even MORE wrestling as it's (in Vince voice) SUMMMMMMMMERRRRRSLAMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!! I will be posting live results for the matches as they wrap up on this page, INCLUDING the Pre-Show matches. Without further ado.... HERE WE GO!!!!! 1) Mixed Tag Team Match Zelina Vega/Andrade Cien Almas vs. Lana/Rusev This half empty crowd is clapping along to Almas's theme. Lana and Rusev both do the Rusev jump pose and shirt rip on the way out. BIG RUSEV DAY chant to start us off. The bell rings. Tranquilo pose in the ropes by Almas followed by a Rusev CRUSH pose by Rusev/Lana. Almas gets an early advantage, but Rusev turns it around into a mudhole stomp in the corner. Snap suplex by Rusev. Vega distracts Rusev, and Almas attacks and throws Rusev into the ringpost. Armbar using the ropes by Almas. Cross armbre

NXT TakeOver Brooklyn IV- Ciampa vs. Gargano; Cole vs. Ricochet; Undisputed Era vs. Mustache Mountain

Well, this is it folks. A show that is perhaps the biggest event in the NXT calendar: NXT TakeOver Brooklyn IV. We have 5 HUGE matches tonight, and it's starting at an unusually early time tonight.  I'll be posting live updates as soon as the matches come to an end, giving you my thoughts and the grade reviews all night! Let's do this!!! Wait. That's not my gimmick! HERE WE GO!!!! NXT TakeOver Brooklyn IV Live Review The video package plays before the match, highlighting the night's big matches. It also points out something I didn't figure out until now: All of the champions in NXT are heels. That's a rare thing to see in any wrestling promotion. And NOW, WWE presents NXT TakeOver Brooklyn IV! Mauro, Nigel, and Percy welcome us to the arena for tonight's action. 1) NXT Tag Team Championship The Undisputed Era (c) vs. Mustache Mountain WHAT AN EXCELLENT CHOICE TO START THIS SHOW! And Kyle O'Reilly is playing that air guitar like no on
