SmackDown Live (2/26/19)- KOFI'S TITLE SHOT GETS KO'ED!

Either Vince McMahon was trolling the audience or he's crazy like a fox. He could be a crazy troll too. But we can debate that later. A Set-Up for Fastlane... AND WrestleMania?!  SD Live 2/26/19 WWE; USA SmackDown Thoughts (2/26/19) - We start off with Daniel Bryan sitting at a table in the ring with Rowan beside him. Stephanie and Shane are in the ring introducing the segment, and there is already a HUGE "Kofi" ovation. Stephanie and Shane run through Kofi's history and emphasize all of his accomplishments. Kofi comes out to a great ovation and continues to work up the crowd. The crowd chants "You Deserve It" at Kofi. Kofi thanks the crowd and the WWE Universe. Kofi promises to win the WWE Champion. Daniel Bryan just stares at Kofi and doesn't say a word through all of this. Daniel signs the contract. Kofi goes to sign, but... VINCE MCMAHON IS COMING OUT! Vince tells Kofi that he appreciates everything Kofi has done in the past 11 years

Raw (2/25/19)- The Big Dog Is Back

Roman Reigns returns. The Man Comes Around. And Ric Flair's 70th Birthday Celebration gets crashed by a "Guardian." Raw Thoughts (2/25/19; Written Live) - On October 22, 2018, Roman Reigns broke the news that his leukemia had returned. And thus, he would have to step away from the ring in order to fight it again. And now, he is back, and the crowd gives him a great ovation. Roman goes around the ring and shakes hands with anyone offering a handshake back. You can tell this means the world to him. One of the greatest moments in Raw... WWE history is seeing this folks. You can't help but feel happy for him as he comes back around the ring and soaks in the roar from the crowd. Roman soaks in the moment of even stepping through the ropes. The music turns off, and the fans are going nuts for him. He starts off by saying "Thank You." He missed everyone. He puts over the fans and the job. Roman correct himself by saying "This is our yard." He

NJPW/ROH Honor Rising 2019 Night 2 (2/23/19)

This is the 2nd Night of the annual New Japan and Ring of Honor early-year tour in Japan. As I wrote for the previous night's show, this tour is especially important given that both companies are co-promoting the upcoming G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden on WrestleMania Weekend. This show has several championship matches, including both the IWGP Heavyweight and ROH Tag Team Championships being on the line as well as the ROH World Championship. With only 6 weeks left until WrestleMania weekend, you can expect some build towards the G1 Supercard show. Here we go! NJPW/ROH Honor Rising 2019 Night 1 (2/22/19)

This is the annual New Japan and Ring of Honor early-year tour in Japan. This is especially important this year given that both companies are co-promoting the upcoming G1 Supercard at Madison Square Garden on WrestleMania Weekend. Here we go! Never Underestimate Liger NJPW and ROH Honor Rising 2019 Night 1 (2/22/19) NJPW World (njpwworld.com) NJPW and ROH Honor Rising 2019 Night 1- 2/22/19 Korakuen Hall- Tokyo, Japan 1) Ren Narita vs. Marty Scurll The Young Lion taking on The Villain. Chain wrestling starts off the match here. Narita gets a few moments to look strong, thanks to the selling of Marty Scurll. Scurll works the crowd masterfully during this by getting them to cheer and boo at his command. Narita, for his end, shows some great strength by staying in a bridge while keeping  Scurll's weight on top of him. The ring is set up like a ROH event, unlike a typical NJPW show. Narita's throat is sent up into the bottom rope. Scurll transitions between submiss

ROH (2/15/19)- Bringing Honor Back to ROH

If you like many people wrestling in the ring at the same time, have I got a show for you! ROH Thoughts ( 2/15/19; Ep #387) - The show begins immediately after the video introduction with our first match (no introductions) as Rhett Titus, Luchasaurus, Chris Sabin, Kenny King, Shane Taylor, and Flip Gordon in a Six-Man Match. Sabin and Saurus start us off. Then King and Titus work a couple minutes. Shane Taylor walks in, and he tries to sucker his former teammates into an attack. But he gets dumped to the floor. Luchasaurus gets thrown out as well. Flip Gordon throws Titus out of the ring and goes after Kenny King. (Tags and Lucha Rules apply in this match.)  Chaos unfolds as men are coming in and out of the ring in rapid progression. We get to our commercial break as all 6 men are laying in the ring or on the floor. We come back to see Rhett Titus dive onto a bunch of wrestlers on the floor. Kenny King gets a blockbuster on Taylor in the ring. Taylor and King get removed from th

Fighting With My Family Review

The Night Paige Won The Divas Championship WWE Network Raw 4/7/2014 Rarely does a WWE Studios movie even get me to sit on a couch to watch it, let alone pay money out of my pocket to go see it in a large theater. But there I was at a local Alamo Drafthouse eating Fish and Chips (somewhat oddly appropriate) and enjoying a nice beverage to enjoy a WWE movie on the big screen. This isn't just a WWE movie. This is a story of a young woman who grew up in an ordinary yet extraordinary family (a wrestling family) and ascended to reach her dreams... and faced all the hardships and harsh realities that dream came with. It's also the story of her brother, who also tried desperately to reach his dreams but was not chosen by his dream. Fighting With My Family doesn't take the easy road of making this a wrestling movie alone. While the family involved does work in the wrestling industry, this film, at its core, is about a brother and sister following the same path until o

On Facebook: Reaction to WWE Releases

On the Facebook page,  https://www.facebook.com/UnWrest/   ,  I discuss the WWE releases of TJP, Tye Dillinger, and Hideo Itami. I believe that only 1 of these men should be in AEW immediately once the 90-Day Non-Complete Clause is finished. And it may not be who you think. Check out that page for more info, and a link to the original article.

MLW Fusion (2/16/2019)- Teddy Hart vs. MJF + More

With SuperFight in the rear view, MLW uses this week's Fusion to set up Intimidation Games. Check out MLW Fusion on YouTube or on beIN Sports every Saturday night. MLW Fusion (2/16/19) - A music video shows highlighting the awesomeness that is The Hart Foundation. Then, we get a clip of the H2 YouTube series focusing on Davey Boy Smith Jr. talking about Japanese culture and clothing. Cool little video here to show a different side of Smith Jr. - Salina cuts a promo on the dumb marks and Tom Lawlor. Low Ki is entitled to a rematch according to Ms. de la Renta. MLW makes a big announcement that Lawlor will have to defend his newly won MLW World Championship against Low Ki at March 2's Intimidation Games. - Our first match is Ace Austin taking on Rich Swann. Swann is selling the new heel persona and cuts a picture-in-picture promo (think Old School WWF) saying that the party is going go on all night long. Ok then. Swann continues to play up his heel persona quite well

NXT (2/20/19)- Dream ON

With shows like this, it is no wonder that the main roster wants a little shine from the Black and Gold brand. Don't Jump Down Towards Johnny Wrestling  WWE NXT; 2/20/19 WWE Network NXT Thoughts (2/20/19) - We open up to a video to promote the NXT North American Championship Match tonight. - Our first match is Aleister Black vs. Roderick Strong. As you would expect, Strong takes the fight to Black consistently. The action spills to the floor and Black takes a big hit back-first on the steel steps. Strong continues the attack on Black relentlessly in the ring and around ringside. Eventually Black gets the advantage in the match, hitting the Asai Moonsault. Big Suplex DDT by Black gets a 2 count. Strong fights kick to kick with Black keeping up with his pace. Black gets hit with a Gutbuster. Black gets launched from a Torture Rack position back-of-the-head first into the turnbuckle while Strong is on the apron. Strong is keeping a good pace with Black until he gets
