** SPECIAL REPORT** NEW ROH WORLD CHAMPION CROWNED

Well, I was watching Inception when I got the bulletin: An impromptu FATAL 4 Way match was made at the ROH TV tapings in Fairfax, VA featuring Cody, Jay Lethal, Matt Taven, and Dalton Castle!!!!! And ROH decided to stream the match on Honor Club. So, I paused the movie, turned on Honor Club, and am providing the following report...

Four Way Match for the ROH World Championship
Dalton Castle (c) (w/The Boys) vs. Cody (with Brandi and Burnard) vs. Jay Lethal vs. Matt Taven
Matt Taven is out first, followed by Jay Lethal.  Cody comes out with Brandi Rhodes and Burnard The Business Bear. Then out comes Dalton Castle with The Boys!!! The poor dude is still walking stiff coming down the steps into the ring.

A LOT of empty seats in this arena. Wow. They can't even show a view of the arena without empty seats being shown. Not a good sign.

Nice back and forth between Lethal and Cody to start it off. Dalton is on the outside while Taven comes in for a little action with Lethal. Cody and Dalton get back into the ring while Taven and Lethal take a breather.

Lethal does individual dives on all three on the outside. He's going back to the well again. CODY throws Burnard in the way of the second dive by Lethal on his side of the ring! The poor bear. Cody distracts the ref and kicks Lethal in his Machismo. Cody and Castle are again going at it in the ring, trading punches.

Cody has Castle in an American Deathlock only for Taven to frog splash him for a 2. Castle ironically breaks up the count. Lethal gets Castle alone in the ring. He signals for the Macho Elbow Drop. Castle gets a leg up, but Lethal catches it and hooks in the Figure 4! Wooo!!!!

Cody gets in, goes for the Cross Rhodes, but Lethal disposes of Cody. Lethal CHOPPING the heck out of Matt Taven again and again and again and again and again and..... you get the idea. Back and forth craziness happening. Taven had a win, but the ref was distracted by Lethal. Cody hits Cross Rhodes on Taven, but he only gets a close 2!  Back and forth action involving all 4. Taven and Cody fighting over covering Castle. LETHAL INJECTION TO BOTH MEN!!!!! Lethal nails a cutter on Castle!  LETHAL INJECTION!!!!! 1-2, TAVEN pulls the referee out! BRANDI slaps Taven!!! Cody gets a chair! Lethal dives at Cody and eats the chair on the outside on the way down. Taven grabs a table! Taven picks up Cody to the Top Rope with a table set in the middle of the ring. Taven's going for a SUPERPLEX! DALTON comes in and executes a PowerBomb while the SUPERPLEX is taking place with Taven going through the table. Lethal runs in, covers Taven, but he only gets a 2 as Taven gets the ropes.

Castle and Lethal trading punches and slaps.  LETHAL INJECTION!!!!!!! NEW CHAMPION! NEW CHAMPION! JAY LETHAL HAS DONE IT!!!!!!!!

Winner: NEW ROH WORLD CHAMPION JAY LETHAL!!!!!!

You Deserve It chants from the crowd. Agreed! Cool unexpected match here tonight on Honor Club.

Dalton and Jay shake hands with the implication being that once Dalton gets healed up past his nagging injuries, he'll get his shot at the title.

That's it. Really glad I checked online and found this out.

Until next time, take care of yourselves and spread some awesomeness!

UnWrest Focus REWIND: Vader vs. Cactus Jack (WCW Halloween Havoc, 10/24/1993)

Spin the Wheel, Make The Deal. That was the gimmick going into this iconic match between two of the hardest hitting wrestlers of all time. It was the storyline months in development: Cactus Jack had just returned after Vader mauled him with a battery of injuries and a concussion to get his revenge. Vader, a merciless monster who delivers pain and punishment to all his vicitms, faced Cactus Jack, the one guy who would take Vader's assault and like the orphan Annie would ask for more. And if Vader wanted to brawl, no one could take Vader's offense and return it in spades quite like Cactus Jack. So, WCW billed the match as "Spin the Wheel, Make the Deal." The idea being that the actual stipulation of the match would be determined on Halloween Havoc by the spin of a big wheel. (If only wrestling could take the "Big Wheel" from The Price is Right. And of course, we'd have to make sure it goes all the way around.) So, the wheel landed that night on a Texas D
