AEW Fyter Fest Predictions

After watching Ring of Honor stumble through Best in the World last night, I'm looking forward to seeing a wrestling company with a sense of urgency and life put on a show tonight. (Here's hoping I don't have the rolling blackouts and internet problems like I did yesterday. I apologize in advance to any of you checking the blog live tonight if that does occur. I'll get the review up ASAP if that happens.)

Before the show starts, here are some predictions for tonight's show:

Pre-Show
- Private Party defeats Best Friends and SCU (Kaz and Sky) to get the opportunity to compete for a 1st Round Bye in the AEW Tag Team Championship Tournament.
- Kylie Rae defeats Leva Bates
- Alex Jabailey defeats Michael Nakazawa in a Hardcore Match.

Main Show
- Nyla Rose defeats Yuka Sakazaki and Riho in the Women's Triple Threat Match.
- Christopher Daniels defeats Cima
- Adam Page defeats Jungle Boy, MJF, and Jimmy Havoc in a Fatal Four Way Match. (You have to keep The Hangman strong going into his world title match at All Out.)
- Jon Moxley defeats Joey Janela in a Non-Sanctioned Match. (Expect a war.)
- Cody defeats Darby Allin. (I think Cody gives Darby a lot of offense to show off his moves to the AEW audience, but Cody will get the win at the end.)
- Lucha Bros. and Laredo Kid defeat The Elite (Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks). (I know the theory is that Kenny Omega needs a win after Double or Nothing. But I think that in order to put more sympathy on Kenny and to show that AEW isn't going to be "The Elite defeats everyone" company, they need to continue to put people over at least once on their shows. Since I have Cody and Page winning their matches on this show, I have The Elite losing this one. My idea would be to end the match with Omega somehow in a 3-1 situation and fighting hard against the three opponents. But they get him in the end for the surprise upset.)

Be sure to check back here tonight either during or after the show for my review.

Take care of yourselves. Spread some awesomeness.

WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 Review

What's up everyone, It's the sequel to WWE Super Showdown as WWE presents the first ever Stomping Grounds event. Will this be an annual thing or go the way of "Great Balls of Fire?" We'll find out later. Anyways, stay here throughout the night if you are reading live (or keep reading if you are seeing this afterwards)  as I am providing live thoughts of the show. WWE Stomping Grounds Tacoma, WA June 23, 2019 Pre-Show - A preview is shown of Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston in a Steel Cage Match. This doesn't feel like a WWE Championship match. Rather, it feels like a Raw 2011 mid-card match for the United States Championship. And worse at that. At least 2011 had Vickie Guerrero at ringside yelling "EXCUSE ME!" - In a cool bit, Booker T is in the steel cage showing off the cage for the pre-show audience.  That was a cool visual. - Coach is so much better on the Kickoff Panel than he ever was behind the announce table. If WWE does ge...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WCW Spring Stampede 1994 Review- WCW At Its Best + Flair/Steamboat In Another Classic

It's WCW in early 1994. We're now working up the hype for the eventual debut of Hulk Hogan to the company. This seems like the final last gasp of what WCW was prior to Hogan's debut with the company. Tonight, we are getting WCW World Champion Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat 5 years after their classic feud (covered on UnWrest Focus earlier). We are also getting International World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Sting. We also have Steve Austin defending his U.S. Championship against The Great Muta! And Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne go to war with The Nasty Boys in a Chicago Street Fight. Here we go! Mean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to the show as fireworks go off. We're in the Rosemont Horizon in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Aaron Neville sings the National Anthem holding on to as many harmonies and vowels as he can. Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan put over the main event. 1) Johnny B. Badd vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Diamond Doll) Badd comes out dressed like ...
