WWE Fastlane 2019 Predictions

WWE Fastlane Promotional Poster
WWE

As we continue to move towards WrestleMania, we hit an inevitable road block in our way to the show of shows called Fastlane. This is another show that continues to prove that more is actually less. Nothing on this show couldn't be done on a regular episode of Raw or SmackDown. But we're getting it anyways. So, here are my predictions:

1) The Usos will defeat The Miz and Shane McMahon for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships.

This will be the night that Shane McMahon will turn on The Miz in front of his own father and build towards the program at WrestleMania. If they go with The Miz turning on Shane in Cleveland, they're going to get the wrong reaction. If they are going that way, they better just hold off on the Miz heel turn until SmackDown.

2) Daniel Bryan will still be WWE Champion after this event one way or the other. Kevin Owens will not be the guy to defeat Daniel Bryan at this point. Kevin may still be involved in the title picture after Fastlane especially if he wins by DQ or countout, but he won't win this title tonight.

3) Nia Jax and Tamina will win the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships by defeating Bayley and Sasha Banks. Sasha and Bayley will be defending their titles for the first time tonight, but I have the feeling Vince is going to put the belts on the Samoans just as quickly as he put them on Sasha and Bayley. Going into WrestleMania, I think it will be better if Sasha and Bayley are chasing the champions rather than being champions.

4) Mandy Rose will defeat Asuka for the SmackDown Women's Championship. I have no faith whatsoever in the booking of Asuka. They've mismanaged her so much, and yet they have given so much time to Mandy Rose. I think the writing is on the wall on this match. Vince McMahon has just never gotten what made Asuka special since she came up to the main roster, and the appeasement to the fans is likely coming to an end tonight. Don't be too surprised if they go with Mandy Rose vs. Sonya Deville on the Pre-Show for WrestleMania for the SmackDown Women's Championship.
5) Baron Corbin, Drew McIntyre, and Bobby Lashley will defeat The Shield tonight. I predict one of the members of The Shield will turn on the others during the match (in most likelihood, Dean Ambrose) to cause the finish. It wouldn't surprise me to see Lesnar show up to beat down on Rollins, and Ambrose to use the opportunity to give Dirty Deeds to Roman Reigns to cause the finish. This would give Roman and Dean a hot angle to go into WrestleMania with. As for Lashley, Ambrose, and Corbin, I hear there are some openings in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal next month.

6) Ronda Rousey will cause a no-contest in the Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch match. Ronda will use the opportunity to get her sweet revenge on her two biggest rivals, and this will cause even more chaos going into WrestleMania. Don't worry, my fellow Becky fans. The McMahons will ultimately put Becky Lynch into the WrestleMania match, but I suspect Ronda Rousey is going to get a few armbars and perhaps even Kendo Stick shots on The Man and The Queen tonight.

7) The Revival will retain their Raw Tag Team Championships by pinning Bobby Roode or Chad Gable in their three way tag team match with Aleister Black and Ricochet. I don't see Aleister or Ricochet winning championship gold quite yet. Meanwhile, Bobby Roode and Chad Gable will make for some glorious fall guys in this match.

Pre-Show

The New Day will defeat the soon-to-be-"future endeavored" Rusev and Shinsuke Nakamura. I just don't see much of a future for Rusev or Nakamura in WWE. As for The New Day, don't be too surprised if Kofi Kingston doesn't make his presence felt during the WWE Championship match later on the show.

Rey Mysterio will pin Andrade in what will probably be the best match on this entire show. (And it will be on the pre-show. Go figure.)

Hope you enjoy the show. Check out the blog later tonight for a review of the show.

Until next time, take care of yourselves. Spread some awesomeness.

WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 Review

What's up everyone, It's the sequel to WWE Super Showdown as WWE presents the first ever Stomping Grounds event. Will this be an annual thing or go the way of "Great Balls of Fire?" We'll find out later. Anyways, stay here throughout the night if you are reading live (or keep reading if you are seeing this afterwards)  as I am providing live thoughts of the show. WWE Stomping Grounds Tacoma, WA June 23, 2019 Pre-Show - A preview is shown of Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston in a Steel Cage Match. This doesn't feel like a WWE Championship match. Rather, it feels like a Raw 2011 mid-card match for the United States Championship. And worse at that. At least 2011 had Vickie Guerrero at ringside yelling "EXCUSE ME!" - In a cool bit, Booker T is in the steel cage showing off the cage for the pre-show audience.  That was a cool visual. - Coach is so much better on the Kickoff Panel than he ever was behind the announce table. If WWE does ge...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WCW Spring Stampede 1994 Review- WCW At Its Best + Flair/Steamboat In Another Classic

It's WCW in early 1994. We're now working up the hype for the eventual debut of Hulk Hogan to the company. This seems like the final last gasp of what WCW was prior to Hogan's debut with the company. Tonight, we are getting WCW World Champion Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat 5 years after their classic feud (covered on UnWrest Focus earlier). We are also getting International World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Sting. We also have Steve Austin defending his U.S. Championship against The Great Muta! And Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne go to war with The Nasty Boys in a Chicago Street Fight. Here we go! Mean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to the show as fireworks go off. We're in the Rosemont Horizon in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Aaron Neville sings the National Anthem holding on to as many harmonies and vowels as he can. Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan put over the main event. 1) Johnny B. Badd vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Diamond Doll) Badd comes out dressed like ...
