NJPW/ROH War of the Worlds 2017- New York City- Adam Cole vs. The Ace, Cody vs. Daniels vs. Lethal + More

This is an impromptu review of NJPW/ROH War of the Worlds 2017. It was originally unavailable to regular Honor Club members, but apparently, ROH has decided to release this show to the JOB Squad of the Honor Club (That's what I call my tier of the service anyways. I might as well have !EM PLEH on my head.) Anyways, it's The Ace Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Adam Cole and Cody vs. Jay Lethal  vs. Christopher Daniels for the ROH World Championship. These dual company shows are always fun to watch. So, let's do this!!!

We're in the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, home of several great ECW and ROH shows in the past. The Young Bucks will also be wrestling Bushi and Tetsuya Naito in a ROH Tag Team Championship match. (I think I know who's taking the fall in that one.) They run down the earlier. Plus, we're getting this opening match!!!

1) Silas Young vs. Dalton Castle vs. Kushida vs. Bobby Fish

Kushida comes out in a NY Yankees jersey. That's "Sucking Up to the Home Crowd" 101. And here comes Dalton Castle and The Boys. And MORE Boys!!!!

Silas Young gets on the mic. He criticizes Kushida for pandering to the audience and attacks him. Dalton, Bobby, and Kushida shake hands, but they end up trying to roll up each other for a 3. Silas breaks that up and starts attacking all three men. Bobby Fish gets a Rear Naked Choke and leg sweep on Kushida from the ring apron. Dalton and Bobby  are in the ring. Face paced back and forth with each man running into the ring to attack one of their opponents. Young attacks the back of Castle only to suffer a springboard back rake by Kushida. Eventually, Kushida nails a senton dive to the outside on Young, Beer City Bruiser, and Fish. Armbreaker on Castle in the ring by Kushida only to be left to suffer The Plunge by Young from the top rope. Silas and Fish are now going at it, and Fish's ankle lock is countered into an enziguri by Young.
They are moving at an insane pace right now. Bang-A-Rang countered into a Fish Hook by Fish. Kushida nails a moonsault on Fish. This is a fun multi-man match thus far. Springboard Heels to Young. Hoverboard Lock by Kushida to Fish, but Young breaks it up. Castle gets a clothesline into a backbreaker by Young. Straight Right Hand by Kushida. Fish and Castle are in the ring. Bang-A-Rang! 1-2-3.

Winner: Dalton Castle
Match Grade: B. Fun match. They were moving so fast that I couldn't really keep up with a lot of what they were doing. Each of the four men did a great job working with the other and put on a solid opening match.

2) Frankie Kazarian vs. Hangman Page- This is in the aftermath of Frankie swerving the Bullet Club and helping his BFF Christopher Daniels win the ROH World Championship. Page has spent the last few weeks attacking Kazarian, including costing him the ROH TV Championship.

KAZARIAN DIVES ONTO PAGE before the bell rings. They are fighting around ringside. Hard throw into the guard rail by Kazarian. Page gets Back Body Dropped right into a security guard at ringside!!!!!  Both men are finally in the ring, and the bell rings. Kazarian goes for the eyes of Page. Page gets a kick on Kazarian, goes to the apron, and nails the awesome Standing Shooting Star Press dive to Page. Long Dart throw into the ring post by Page. Big clothesline by Page for a 2. Page continues the attack on Kazarian. Rite of Passage countered into a rollup for 2 by Kazarian. Backstabber by Kazarian. Unprettier by Kazarian. SPIT in the face by Page! Kazarian answers back!!!  Page gets the mucus up and does it again, and Kazarian does it back to him. They are attacking each other with huge lariats and kicks. Slingshot cutter by Kazarian for a 2. Kazarian bumps into the ref. Low blow by Page, but he only gets a 2. Kazarian goes for a rollup, but Page sits in on it and hooks the ropes behind the referee's back for a 3.

Winner: Hangman Page
Match Grade: B. Another solid match here with both men attacking each other with the appropriate anger that the feud demanded (I wish AJ vs. Joe at SummerSlam had started the same way).

3) Three Team Tag Team Match
Evil/Sanada vs. Sabin/Gresham vs. War Machine

I'm looking forward to this match. Two of these teams are great modern tag teams, and Sabin and Gresham should make for a fun combination of aerial and European style wrestling. War Machine are the modern War Raiders in NXT if you are one of the two people on Earth who haven't made that connection.

EVIL and Rowe start off, but EVIL tags Gresham before any physicality happens. Sanada tags Rowe before he does anything with Gresham. Sanada attacks Gresham. Gresham gets a nice leaping arm drag on Sanada followed by a hurricanrana into a dropkick. Gresham goes to dive on Sanada, but EVIL pulls him out and throws both Gresham and Sabin into the guard rail. Back in the ring, Gresham and Sabin are put into the Paradise Lock by Sanada. Running kick to the gluts by Sanada help both men out. Evil and Sanada get some double team offense in. Gresham gets out and tags Sabin who leaps onto both men. Double clothesline by Sabin. More fast offense by Sabin and Gresham. But EVIL gets a bulldog clothesline on both men. Hanson is tagged in. Hanson hits the running clotheslines in the corners on Gresham and Sabin. Whoopie Cushion on EVIL by Hanson followed by a Cartwheel kick by the big man on Sanada. Running clotheslines in the corner by Hanson on EVIL and Sanada now for about 30 seconds. Crowd pops for that. Splash on both men in the corner, and Rowe rams Hanson into that corner smashing EVIL and Sanada. Fallout blocked by Sabin. Grasham gets a hurricanrana on Hanson from the top rope. They dispose of Hanson. Sabin and Gresham go for forearms, but Rowe just leans into them. DOUBLE BELLY TO BELLY by Rowe. Sanada with the springboard dropkick. Sanada distracts the referee, and EVIL does his signature chair swing to the chair around the neck to Hanson. HOME RUN!!!! Gresham and Sabin get EVIL with dives to the outside, but Sanada counters with a dive of his own to both men. Sabin keeps Hanson from diving on everyone. Sabin caught with a pop-up powerslam by War Machine. Hanson dives on everyone on the outside, and Rowe pins Sabin for the win.

Winners: WAR MACHINE
Match Grade: C+. Another fun match between three teams. But this probably should have been a little longer to show what they could do. Still, a harmless fun tag match.

4) Jay White vs. Will Ospreay

Running boot by Ospreay starts the match. Back and forth attacks by both men. Two more running kicks, but big forearm by White. BIG chops by White. Running hurricanrana by Ospreay sends White out. Ospreay sends White out again. Another heel to the face of White after a series of missed moves and dives by both men. White counters a diving Ospreay with a throw into the guard rail. He continues to throws Ospreay into the guard rails at ringside. White is back in the ring.
Count is at 18 and Ospreay gets in to eat a European uppercut by White. 2 count. Ospreay gets a dropkick by White for another 2 count. White gets the floatover STF/ Muta Lock on Ospreay, which is broken up by a rope grab. Ospreay hits a handspring wheel kick on White. Springboard maneuver by Ospreay. White gets another back elbow in on Ospreay. Butterfly suplexes on Ospreay by White. A 3rd one sends Ospreay back into the corner. Running uppercuts and elbows by both men into the corner. Ospreay tries to get a running hurricanrana, but White counters into a powerbomb for a 2.
White and Ospreay trade hard forearms to each other. White gets the better of the offense and stomps Ospreay in the corner. Jumping forearm by Ospreay. Fast strikes by Ospreay. Flatliner into a German attempted, but Ospreay gets one of his own. White gets a German in, but Spanish Fly by Ospreay. "This is Awesome" chant by the crowd. Agreed.  Ospreay goes to the top. He lands on his feet going for a manuever. He gets a Code Red on White, but White gets out at 2 barely. White is on the outside. Ospreay goes for a handspring dive over the top, but White catches him as he comes down and gives a SICK Brainbuster to Ospreay on the apron. Ospreay is back in the ring. White goes to the top rope and nails a big dropkick off the top. Ospreay tries to get a reverse Rana on White, but Cobra Clutch suplex is hit by White. White goes for a suplex, but Ospreay gets a cutter. He gets a kick to the back of a kneeling White. He goes for the Oscutter, but White catches him and starts elbowing the hell out of his head repeatedly. Double Underhook Face Plant Suplex by White, but he only gets a 2!!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!!!
Ospreay is put on the top rope by White. White climbs up. They are fighting back and forth. Headbutt by Ospreay, who then dives over White, rolls over, and kicks White in the face sending him to the floor. Ospreay then nails the running shooting star press to the outside on White! He throws him back in and hits an Oscutter for the win!!!!  Streamers are being thrown in by the crowd, and I can't blame them.

Winner: Will Ospreay
Match Grade: A. This was an amazing back and forth match between both men. It is probably my favorite Jay White match that I've seen as of now. This was a classic match between two young guys trying to show the world what they have. Check out this match. It's well worth the time.

They shake hands afterwards and the crowd SCREAMS "THAT WAS AWESOME!" Punishment Martinez attacks Ospreay and White after the match.

5) ROH World 6-Man Tag Team Championships
Hirooki Goto/Roppongi Vice vs. The Briscoes/Bully Ray (c)

Bully comes out from the audience and tells Goto and RPG Vice that they are about to die. The match is now NO Disqualification! As soon as Bully says that, the Briscoes dive onto Goto and RPG Vice. The fight is ON! Baretta is thrown into the barricade. Cactus Jack Elbow Drop by Mark Briscoe. Bully is at ringside now and throws Goto in the ring. RPG Vice and Goto eat a crossbody by the big Bully from the top rope. Chops to RPG Vice. Chair is thrown in, but Goto headbutts Bully. Flying chairshots to the heads of the Briscoes by RPG Vice. Dropkicks into the chair to Mark Briscoe by RPG Vice.
Mark jumps into another chair shot by Rocky Romero. Baretta somersault plancha onto the Briscoes. Big throw chair shot to Mark Briscoe for a 2 count. CHAOS has Mark isolated in the ring and use the chair to attack Mark. Spinning heel kick and Saito suplex by Goto for a 2. Bully breaks it up and throws Goto out of the ring. Bully gets thrown into the guard rail. Big kick by Bully puts down Goto.

Goto and Bully are trading blows now in the ring. Death Valley Driver on Bully. Damn. Jay Briscoe now hitting Goto with European uppercuts. Stereo jumping knees on Jay in the ring. Eventually it comes down to Rocky and Mark. Rocky does his running clotheslines, but Mark gets him with a Pele kick. Rolling Death Valley Driver. He goes for the Froggy Elbow, but Baretta catches him on the top rope. RPG Vice climbs up, but Bully and Jay catch them. Double Doomsday Device. WHAT'S UP to Goto!!!  GET THE TABLES!!!
Table is thrown in by the Briscoes. ECW chant. Baretta is sent flying on a back body drop. Bully goes on the top rope. Baretta gets sent on Bully's shoulder. POWERBOMB through the table. 3B by the champs. 1-2-3.

Winners: Bully/Briscoes (still champs)
Match Grade: C+. Garbage hardcore match, and not a very memorable one at that. The effort was definitely there though, and all 6 men gave a solid performance getting their spots in.

6) ROH World TV Championship
Marty Scurll (c) vs. Matt Sydal

Woop woop!

Code of Honor is kicked away by Scurll. The bell rings. Tie up with exchange of armlocks, headlocks, and hammerlocks early on. Marty flips Sydal out of a piledriver position. Tilt a whirl Headscissors by Sydal. Chicken Wing attempt countered into a Sliced Bread countered into a rollup. Marty has Sydal in the corner now. Running back elbow into a spin kick by Sydal. Running slide kick into the corner by Sydal who mocks the bird taunt. More stomps to the arm of Sydal. Big kick to the leg by Sydal followed by a standing moonsault for a 2. Exchange of kicks and punches by both men. Yeah and Boo from the audience. Thumbs to the eyes by Scurll. Kick to the knee by Scurll. He runs into a spinning heel kick by Sydal. Scurll hits a brainbuster by reversing a Sydal suplex. Chickenwing called for by Scurll, but Sydal reverses into a reverse DDT rollup for a 2. Sydal gets caught taunting the audience, and Scurll snaps the fingers! Suplex reversed into a hurricanrana by Sydal for a 2. Jumping knee by Sydal but Scurll answers with a lariat. Vertebreaker by Sydal. Air Sydal countered into  knees by Scurll. CHICKEN WING!!!!! It's over!!!!

Winner: Marty Scurll.
Match Grade: C. This match just didn't feel like it hit a second gear at all. No one in the audience expected Sydal to get the win here. And the match itself did little to rise above average.

7) ROH World Tag Team Championships
The Young Bucks (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito/Bushi

Well, we know how this is ending. But it should be fun getting there. Here comes Bushi in a VENOM outfit!  Wow. And here comes Naito with his hat and shirt kicking his own Intercontinental Championship up the aisle like a piece of trash! And he throws the title in the ring like one as well. (Remember, Naito hates that title. He feels there are too many titles in New Japan, and he will treat championships like garbage. Plus that IC Championship caused him not to main event Wrestle Kingdom 8 when the fans chose that title match over his own IWGP Heavyweight Championship match. So, there's some bad blood with that title.) As for The Young Bucks, I think this is the first time I'm actually calling one of their matches with their shirt on. And the poor ring announcer Bobby Cruise gets draped as the crowds absolutely shower the ring with streamers for the Bucks and LIJ.

Naito avoids the tie up with Nick Jackson a couple times. Tranquilo. Nick avoids one by Naito and tells him to suck it. Naito responds by spitting at him. They are going at it now. Naito nails the slingshot leg sweep/dropkick in the corner. The Bucks are sent to the outside. Bushi dives through the ropes to the Bucks. He holds the Bucks up so they can see Naito fake a dive and hit his patented Tranquilo pose. The Bucks go nuts, and Nick Jackson trips going in the ring on purpose of course. Lol.
Bushi and Nick eventually start going at it. Dropkick by Nick Jackson. Tag to Matt. Double team offense by the Bucks to Bushi and Naito. Nick dives over Matt onto Bushi and Naito on the outside. Bucks of Youth chant by the audience. (DELIGHTFUL! YAAAAS!) Matt and Bushi are now going at it. Matt with mudhole stomps on Bushi. Trip up by Naito on the outside followed by a dropkick by Bushi. LIJ double teams the Bucks. Naito is the legal man. Enziguri by Bushi followed by a slam by Naito for a 2. Bushi tagged in. Assisted Sliced Bread into a DDT by Matt Jackson. He legally tags Nick Jackson. Kicks going around for LIJ. Bulldog clothesline to both men. Dropkick to Bushi. X-Factor by Matt to Naito followed by a moonsault to Bushi on the outside. Double Stomp Slam and a Backstabber to both men by The Bucks. Naito is placed on the middle rope and eats a Swanton by Nick for a 2. Bushi breaks it up. Bushi goes to the top and nails a dropkick. Bushirooni meets a SUPERKICK! Naito eats one as well. Naito with a reverse Rana on Matt Jackson. I didn't see that coming. Naito may have jacked his own neck in the process.
Exchange of punches by Matt and Naito. Naito with a lowblow. Bushi and Naito get Matt with a tag team maneuver and get a 2. Destino stopped in Tombstone Piledriver position. The Meltzer Driver is stopped by Bushi, who sends Nick's face into the apron. MIST to Matt Jackson's face. Naito rolls him up for a CLOSE 2. Superkick to Naito and Bushi. SUPERKICK TO HIS BROTHER and the referee!!!! WOW! That's hilarious and awesome at the same time. He gets a bottle of water and tries to clean out his eyes. He now looks around and sees what he's done. He picks up Naito, but he gets Code Breaker by Bushi and DESTINOOOOOOO! 1-2- SWANTON BOMB by Nick Jackson to break it up.
Bushi is on the apron and gets the legal tag. Bushi gets caught with a knee. Naito goes for the corner legsweep/dropkick, but Nick does a moonsault onto Bushi. And while that happens, Matt hits a diving spike DDT on Naito sending his head sickeningly on the apron in a brainbuster type way! YIKES! Nick goes to the top. 450 Moonsault to Bushi. But Bushi kicks out. Nick hits a springboard dive onto Naito. Bushi gets caught trying to dive by Matt, who puts him in position for... MELTZER DRIVER!!! 1-2-3. WOW!

Winners: The Young Bucks (still champs)
Match Grade: B+. That was another extremely fun match on this show. They had me believing that Bushi and Naito might actually pull this off. The Bucks are such great storytellers in the ring, and it's criminal that they don't get more respect for what they do. Bushi took the fall as expected, but he was really solid in this match as well.

A video is shown going over the announcement for the IWGP U.S. Heavyweight Championship tournament in July 2017 (which I will review later once I get an opportunity to do so).

8) Hiroshi Tanahashi vs. Adam Cole

OH YEAH! The Ace vs. Adam Cole Bay Bay! This is what I've been waiting to see for a long time. Streamers fly in for Tanahashi from the crowd. Here comes Adam Cole Bay Bay! Streamers come flying in for Adam Cole as well. The bell rings.

Tie up. Tanahashi takes Cole to the ropes. Clean break and Air Guitar by The Ace. Another tie up. Arm wrench by Tanahashi. Cole rolls his way out of that. But Tanahashi gets a headlock in. Cole grabs the hair and Tanahashi responds in kind. They let go at the same time. Cole gets Tanahashi in the corner. Adam Cole Bay Bay taunt. Cole charges him in the corner. Tanahashi ducks out and gives his own Tanahashi Bay Bay chant! He gets Cole in an abdominal stretch, does the chant again, and starts using Cole as a damn air guitar!!! LOL!!! The crowd is split for both men.
Tanahashi gets flipped to the apron. Cole hits a big enziguri to Tanahashi sending him to the floor. Cole runs out and throws Tanahashi into the rail. He then throws Tanahashi into the other guard rail. They both go back in the ring. Cole continues to work on Tanahashi with stomps and a foot choke in the corner. Adam Cole with a snap suplex for a 2. Knees to the back of Tanahashi. Cole runs the ropes over and over. He gets a headlock in, but Tanahashi reverses it easily. Cole gets out, but Tanahashi gets a flying forearm in. Tanahashi now with an offensive flurry. Somersault Senton splash by Tanahashi for a 2. Tanahashi runs into a boot and gets hit with Ushigaroshe for a 2 by Adam Cole.
Cole climbs the middle rope. Misses the Canadian Destroyer attempt. Tanahashi gets Cole down. He misses a somersault senton splash on Cole. Shining Wizard by Cole to the back of the head for a 2. Kick to the knee of Cole. Cole gets Tanahashi back down and spits on the back of his head. Adam Cole Bay Bay taunt countered into a Straight Jacket German by Tanahashi for a 2. Forearms by both men. Back and forth. European uppercut by Tanahashi. Big jumping enziguri by Cole. Superkick by Cole x2. The third is caught. Twist and Shout by Tanahashi! SLING BLADE! 1-2 Kickout. He's going up to the top. High Fly Flow INTO KNEES! LAST SHOT by Cole. 1-2-CLOSE 2. Cole climbs up the ropes. HIGH FLY FLOW by ADAM COLE! 1-2-kickout!!!
Adam Cole is sitting in the corner thinking of his next move. Dueling chants by the audience. Cole picks up Tanahashi. He taunts the crowd again. Superkick by Tanahashi. He climbs up the corner. HIGH FLY FLOW into a SUPERKICK!!! SHINING WIZARD to the face of Tanahashi for a 2!!!! Last Shot reversed by Tanahashi! He climbs up! HIGH FLY FLOW!!!! 1-2-3!

Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi
Match Grade: B. This was another very fun well done match on this awesome show. Tanahashi and Cole delivered what was expected out of them for this.

Thank You Cole chants from the crowd along with streamers. Here come The Young Bucks who taunt doing superkicks. They hug Adam Cole. The lights go out, and KENNY OMEGA is on the screen!!!! He wishes he could have been there to enjoy Adam's special moment. But he can not. He's disappointed in the Bucks for hugging Cole after trying to fire them two months ago. He wants to send his special thanks to Cole. Cole's had a fruitful, long, and storied career. But like all fairy tales, there has to be a hero, and there has to be a villain. Marty Scurll is right next to Kenny Omega as the camera pans out, and Kenny Omega FIRES ADAM COLE!
The lights are still off. Marty Scurll is in the ring, and he shows off his new Bullet Club umbrella! SUPERKICKS by The Bucks to Cole! Marty takes off the jacket and shows off The Bullet Club T-Shirt. Too Sweet chants from the audience. Umbrella across the head of Adam Cole. Wow. That's a write off.

9) ROH World Championship
Jay Lethal vs. Cody vs. Christopher Daniels (c)

Daniels has his first ROH World Championship at 46 years old. That is an awesome story. Cody is being sold as a free agent who can do anything with the title. Lethal won his first ROH World Championship in NYC. The bell rings. Cody goes out, grabs a chair, and sits while Lethal and Daniels start it off. Lethal dives through the ropes onto Cody. And then he runs back in the ring and dives at both Daniels and Cody. But he comes up hopping on his leg with a possible knee injury. Daniels and Cody buy time, but Leethal gets himself back in. Dropkick to the face of Cody by Lethal who is still moving gingerly on that leg. Lethal Injection and Angel's Wings blocked by Daniels and Cody respectively. Missile Dropkick by Cody to both men. Figure Four by Cody to Daniels who gets to the ropes. Lethal gets back in and attacks Cody. Daniels gets sent to the floor by Cody. Cody goes under Lethal, pulls his legs, and sends Lethal crotch first into the ringpost. Daniels rams Cody into the rail.
Daniels gets back in the ring. He hits an Arabian moonsault for a 2 on Lethal. Cody is back in. Dragon Screw to the injured leg of Lethal sending him to the outside. Another Arabian Moonsault countered with knees by Cody for a 2. Cody gets a delayed facebuster to Daniels for a 2. Daniels eats a Beautiful Disaster kick, but he kicks out of 2 pin attempts by Cody. Cody goes out and clears off a table at ringside to use. Cody gets in position to suplex Daniels to the table, but Lethal and Daniels team up to suplex Cody into the ring. Lethal and Cody double clothesline each other. Double clothesline by Daniels now to both men. Daniels now attacking with an STO/bulldog on both men. Cody and Lethal are outside. Arabian Moonsault to the outside by Daniels. Not bad for 46 years old, wouldn't you say?
All 3 men are back in the ring. Lethal Combination to Daniels. Snap slam by Cody, but he runs into an STO by Daniels. The crowd applauds politely, but they are dead after this show. Rights exchanged by all three men. Daniels sent over the top to the outside. Lethal and Cody with forearms to each other.  Beautiful Disaster to Daniels on the apron. Moonsault to Lethal misses by Cody.
Lethal takes off the elbow pad and climbs the top rope. Daniels pulls him down on the top turnbuckle. Daniels is going for the superplex. Cody gets Daniels in a powerbomb position, but Daniels flips Cody over. Cody gets a weak looking Cross Rhodes on Daniels, and Lethal breaks up the pin attempt with an elbow drop off the top. Lethal and Cody are fighting over the pin. (Cabana noted that Daniels may have tweaked the knee during that move.) Daniels gets sent into the table by Lethal and Cody inadvertantly. Cody kicks Lethal into the referee and kicks him down low. He goes for another Beautiful Disaster but eats a cutter from Lethal for a close 2 count. Lethal is getting warmed up. Superkick to Cody. Lethal Injection countered into CROSS RHODES! 1-2 KICKOUT! Cody gets up and locks in the Figure Four Leg Lock on Lethal's bad knee. Best Moonsault Ever by Daniels on Cody!!! 1-2-3!!!!

Winner: Christopher Daniels (still champ)
Match Grade: B-. Good back and forth match with a couple awkward spots here and there. The crowd being dead after the Cole/Bullet Club segment didn't help matters, but the effort again was there from all three men. The finish was pretty fun as well.

Show Grade: A. There is not a dud on this show at all. Every match was at least watchable for one time, with Scurll and Sydal being oddly my least favorite match of the evening. And there's a little something for everyone to be found here. I enjoyed this show a lot and will give this my unqualified recommendation. If you have Honor Club, check this out now.

That does it for now, ladies and gentlemen. If you want to decide what show I cover next weekend, go to twitter.com/cdub1898 and vote. And of course, I will be covering ALL IN Saturday, September 1st.

Until next time, take care of yourselves. Spread that awesomeness!

WWE Evolution Predictions + Thoughts on An Underpromoted All-Women PPV

Credit: WWE WWE Evolution Promotional Poster This should feel like a bigger deal. After all, this is the first time ever that an All-Women PPV is taking place under the WWE corporate umbrella. But WWE has done a great job of completely killing the show with an uninspired card, lack of promotion, lack of interest overall, and finding a million different other things to promote to undermine the event. Still, some fans (like myself) want to give the women their due and hope to enjoy this show. Here's a rundown of the card and my predictions for each match: 1) Raw Women's Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella If this goes longer than 5 minutes, it's definitely too long. As good as Nikki can be in the ring (at times), Rousey should just absolutely massacre her. The only ways to prolong this match in a realistic way would be 1) an injury angle or 2) Twin Magic with Brie interfering. Otherwise, this should be short and awesome. Prediction: Ronda Retains 2)...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WWE Super Show-Down 2018 Review: Last Time Ever Delivers + Some Other Solid Matches

Another big show in the WWE this year will happen today as WWE comes from Melbourne, Australia in front of 70,000 people. A lot of big matches are happening here. Let's Do This! No Pre-Show today. It's straight to the show. The new WWE opening takes place, and we get a WWE video package putting over the show and the LAST TIME EVER match. It looks like the Raw Announce Team will be calling the show. We go to the arena, and they've already spent more money on fireworks than they have for WWE programming this year. 70,309 in attendance. For once, the entrance way is understated. 1) SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship The Bar vs. The New Day (c) I wonder if Vince/WWE Management is ordering people to run the aisle tonight. Both tag teams were doing that coming to the ring.  Nice back and forth action with Kingston and Cesaro, along with Woods after getting the tag. Woods and Kingston had an awesome sequence of moves to start off. The Bar a minute later catches bot...
