Blog Update- Many Events and Changes Coming

What's up everyone?

There's a ton of wrestling coverage coming up on this website. So, here's what's coming up:

Saturday 11/2- Streaming for Vengeance (Chris Jericho Cruise Wrestling Show)

Saturday or Sunday 11/3- NJPW Power Struggle 2018 Review

Sunday Night- ROH Survival of the Fittest Coverage

Later This Week/Next Weekend
ROH/NJPW Global Wars Tour Coverage (I'm going to try to cover as many of these events as I can.)

Changes Coming:

I'm working on another edition of UnWrest for this week, and I've come to a decision. Going forward, UnWrest will be broken up among three different posts during the week: WWE, NXT, and ROH/MLW. This makes it easy to read through the material you want to read, and it makes it easier for me to put together. So, here's the schedule for UnWrest:

WWE- Tuesday Night/Wednesday Afternoon
NXT (US)- Wednesday Night or Thursday Afternoon (Some weeks, I will add NXT UK to this post.)
MLW/ROH- Friday Night or Saturday Morning.

Podcast Recommendation will still happen on the website and will be posted simply as "Podcast Recommendation of the Week."

Thank you all for reading this update. Today, there will be a few added posts to the website, including the MLW/ROH show which I'm currently working on and the Streaming for Vengeance show. Possibly, I'll finish Power Struggle as well if I find the time and fight exhaustion to do it.

Until next time, take care of yourselves. Spread some awesomeness.

WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 Review

What's up everyone, It's the sequel to WWE Super Showdown as WWE presents the first ever Stomping Grounds event. Will this be an annual thing or go the way of "Great Balls of Fire?" We'll find out later. Anyways, stay here throughout the night if you are reading live (or keep reading if you are seeing this afterwards)  as I am providing live thoughts of the show. WWE Stomping Grounds Tacoma, WA June 23, 2019 Pre-Show - A preview is shown of Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston in a Steel Cage Match. This doesn't feel like a WWE Championship match. Rather, it feels like a Raw 2011 mid-card match for the United States Championship. And worse at that. At least 2011 had Vickie Guerrero at ringside yelling "EXCUSE ME!" - In a cool bit, Booker T is in the steel cage showing off the cage for the pre-show audience.  That was a cool visual. - Coach is so much better on the Kickoff Panel than he ever was behind the announce table. If WWE does ge...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WCW Spring Stampede 1994 Review- WCW At Its Best + Flair/Steamboat In Another Classic

It's WCW in early 1994. We're now working up the hype for the eventual debut of Hulk Hogan to the company. This seems like the final last gasp of what WCW was prior to Hogan's debut with the company. Tonight, we are getting WCW World Champion Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat 5 years after their classic feud (covered on UnWrest Focus earlier). We are also getting International World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Sting. We also have Steve Austin defending his U.S. Championship against The Great Muta! And Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne go to war with The Nasty Boys in a Chicago Street Fight. Here we go! Mean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to the show as fireworks go off. We're in the Rosemont Horizon in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Aaron Neville sings the National Anthem holding on to as many harmonies and vowels as he can. Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan put over the main event. 1) Johnny B. Badd vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Diamond Doll) Badd comes out dressed like ...
