Podcast Recommendation of the Week 11/10/18

There are three podcasts that I want to recommend for this week out of the many that I listen to on a weekly basis.

1) Talking Honor w/ Harley and Emily - PWTorch LiveCast

I decided to give this podcast a listen during the week after the big happenings in Ring of Honor (The Caning of Flip Gordon, The Jericho Cruise/Sea of Honor, and Survival of the Fittest). And I really enjoyed the banter between the two of them on this show. It was a good thoughtful podcast, and I'm giving these two a recommendation this week. It's available of the PWTorch LiveCast feed on Apple.

2) Bullet Club Elite becomes The Elite on Talk is Jericho- 11/7/18

This is the big moment that was already spoiled on social media: The Bullet Club Elite announces that they are leaving The Bullet Club and will simply be known now as The Elite. This makes a whole lot of sense since they may be leaving NJPW and ROH in 2019. Also, it's a great listen about some of the shenanigans that go on behind the scenes in Being The Elite, their lives, some shoot comments about the industry, and how Cody Rhodes was cast as Stardust. That last part alone deserves a listen. (Again, the more I see and listen to anything regarding Chris Jericho's Rock and Rager Cruise, the more I feel terrible that I couldn't make it work.)

3) Road Trip with Tony and Conrad- What Happened When

Oh God. This is one of the most fun episodes in the podcast's history. They were scheduled to do Royal Rumble 1990 this week (it'll be coming up next week). Instead, they decide to record a podcast while Tony is driving. So, Conrad is the Chewbacca to Tony's Han Solo as they talk about every appropriate and inappropriate thing you can think of. They also drive to a Waffle House and talk about stuff. Tony gets a bit of road rage, prank calls are made including a run in from Bruce Prichard, and a certain Shoney's in Acworth, GA gets a late night visit. Holla if you hear me. All this and a lot of other stuff I can't talk about on this blog. Check it out. NSFW.

So, if you have an opportunity to listen to some podcasts, these are the three I recommend.

Until next time, take care of yourselves. Spread some awesomeness.

WWE Stomping Grounds 2019 Review

What's up everyone, It's the sequel to WWE Super Showdown as WWE presents the first ever Stomping Grounds event. Will this be an annual thing or go the way of "Great Balls of Fire?" We'll find out later. Anyways, stay here throughout the night if you are reading live (or keep reading if you are seeing this afterwards)  as I am providing live thoughts of the show. WWE Stomping Grounds Tacoma, WA June 23, 2019 Pre-Show - A preview is shown of Dolph Ziggler vs. Kofi Kingston in a Steel Cage Match. This doesn't feel like a WWE Championship match. Rather, it feels like a Raw 2011 mid-card match for the United States Championship. And worse at that. At least 2011 had Vickie Guerrero at ringside yelling "EXCUSE ME!" - In a cool bit, Booker T is in the steel cage showing off the cage for the pre-show audience.  That was a cool visual. - Coach is so much better on the Kickoff Panel than he ever was behind the announce table. If WWE does ge...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WCW Spring Stampede 1994 Review- WCW At Its Best + Flair/Steamboat In Another Classic

It's WCW in early 1994. We're now working up the hype for the eventual debut of Hulk Hogan to the company. This seems like the final last gasp of what WCW was prior to Hogan's debut with the company. Tonight, we are getting WCW World Champion Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat 5 years after their classic feud (covered on UnWrest Focus earlier). We are also getting International World Champion Ravishing Rick Rude vs. Sting. We also have Steve Austin defending his U.S. Championship against The Great Muta! And Cactus Jack and Maxx Payne go to war with The Nasty Boys in a Chicago Street Fight. Here we go! Mean Gene Okerlund welcomes us to the show as fireworks go off. We're in the Rosemont Horizon in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Aaron Neville sings the National Anthem holding on to as many harmonies and vowels as he can. Tony Schiavone and Bobby Heenan put over the main event. 1) Johnny B. Badd vs. Diamond Dallas Page (w/ Diamond Doll) Badd comes out dressed like ...
