WWE Crown Jewel Quick Predictions

I will be posting a review of this show once it concludes. But here's a quick rundown of the card and my predictions in each match (including fantasy booking the World Cup Tournament):

World Cup Tournament
Raw Bracket Quarter Finals
Seth Rollins vs. Bobby Lashley- I'm predicting that Bobby Lashley will get the win here after Dean Ambrose costs Seth Rollins the match.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Kurt Angle- I'm predicting a shocking win here for Kurt Angle who will catch Dolph Ziggler with a quick rollup where Drew McIntyre will not be able to interfere.

**Winners Face Off in Semi-Finals
In a hypothetical Bobby Lashley vs. Kurt Angle match, I'm going with Bobby Lashley to advance out of Raw with the opportunity to win the World Cup.

SmackDown Bracket
Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton- I'm predicting that Rey Mysterio will win the match after catching Randy Orton with a surprise rollup pin.

Jeff Hardy vs. The Miz- I'm going with The Miz to get a quick rollup  and grabbing the ropes.

**Winners face off in Semi-Finals
In a hypothetical Rey Mysterio vs. The Miz match in the semi-finals, I'm going with Rey Mysterio to get the win to face Bobby Lashley in the finals.

World Cup Finals: Raw Winner vs. SmackDown Winner- In the finals, I'm going with Bobby Lashley to get the win over Rey Mysterio to win the World Cup. And per SmackDown Live's stupid angle, I see Rey getting fired from SmackDown Live and heading to Raw to boost up that show. And mark my words if this happens: Rey will be the one to get the win for Team Raw at Survivor Series.

DX vs. Brothers of Destruction- I want to be more excited for this match. But given everything that has happened outside of the country and the lackluster build for the match itself, I'm not really that surprised. Will Shawn Michaels lose his return match? Yes. The Brothers of Destruction will get their revenge at Crown Jewel to set up yet another match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker at a future event (either Survivor Series or Royal Rumble).

WWE Championship
AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe

Samoa Joe is already dead as a heel after Super Show-Down. He was thrown in just to get a WWE Championship match on Crown Jewel. I don't really expect him to win. HOWEVER, it would be typical WWE after all the backlash they have received for this event to do a title switch JUST to spite all the critics and fans who are tuning out the show due to it being in Saudi Arabia.

I'm still going with AJ Styles with just a small bit of wonder about that latter scenario playing out.

SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships
The Bar (c) vs. The New Day

The Tag Team Titles are not changing hands on this show. This will be a another really good match between the two teams, but The Bar will not lose these titles on this night.

Universal Championship
Braun Strowman vs. Brock Lesnar

Now, this one may be the most interesting match of the show. Will WWE put the title on a full-time talent and finally push Braun as their new "face" of Raw? OR will Vince go back to what he expects is safe from a mainstream perspective and thrust that title back on a part-time talent like Brock Lesnar? I'm predicting that Braun will get the championship on this show. I just don't see them repeating the Lesnar title run after it left such a bad taste in fans' mouths.

Kickoff Show
U.S. Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura( c) vs. Rusev

I'm too giddy about a Nakamura vs. Rollins match at Survivor Series to even contemplate this title change. It's not happening. It can't. We must get Nakamura vs. Rollins. Sorry Rusev. I think that there's a good chance that Aiden English interferes to cost him the match again.

 _ _ _ _ _

Well, this is going to be one hell of a controversial show. Will it be any good? Who knows. But I'll post my review of it either way after it is over.

Until that time, take care of yourselves. Spread some awesomeness.

WWE Evolution Predictions + Thoughts on An Underpromoted All-Women PPV

Credit: WWE WWE Evolution Promotional Poster This should feel like a bigger deal. After all, this is the first time ever that an All-Women PPV is taking place under the WWE corporate umbrella. But WWE has done a great job of completely killing the show with an uninspired card, lack of promotion, lack of interest overall, and finding a million different other things to promote to undermine the event. Still, some fans (like myself) want to give the women their due and hope to enjoy this show. Here's a rundown of the card and my predictions for each match: 1) Raw Women's Championship: Ronda Rousey (c) vs. Nikki Bella If this goes longer than 5 minutes, it's definitely too long. As good as Nikki can be in the ring (at times), Rousey should just absolutely massacre her. The only ways to prolong this match in a realistic way would be 1) an injury angle or 2) Twin Magic with Brie interfering. Otherwise, this should be short and awesome. Prediction: Ronda Retains 2)...

WWE TLC 2018 Review- Tables and Ladders and Chairs, Oh My!

HERE WE GO!    Pre-Show   1) WWE Cruiserweight Championship   Buddy Murphy (champ) vs. Cedric Alexander   They started this match early. Apparently, they wanted just as many fans in the arena as there usually are in 205 Live matches for this to give it the authentic feel.   The bell rings. A lot of tie-ups and switches to start up the match to a good reaction from the crowd. A Loud 205 Chant. Alexander takes down Murphy to the floor. Really good back and forth action here with both men moving quickly. Alexander catches Murphy with a dropkick for a 2 count. BIG KNEE to the head of Alexander sends him to the floor. Murphy flies off the top rope and hits a Meteora (maybe that’s what they were going for?) for a 2 count. Murphy has the advantage for a few moments, including a power choke on the corner on Alexander. He jumps off it to eat a SUPERKICK to the chest. Crowd seems invested in the matc...

WWE Super Show-Down 2018 Review: Last Time Ever Delivers + Some Other Solid Matches

Another big show in the WWE this year will happen today as WWE comes from Melbourne, Australia in front of 70,000 people. A lot of big matches are happening here. Let's Do This! No Pre-Show today. It's straight to the show. The new WWE opening takes place, and we get a WWE video package putting over the show and the LAST TIME EVER match. It looks like the Raw Announce Team will be calling the show. We go to the arena, and they've already spent more money on fireworks than they have for WWE programming this year. 70,309 in attendance. For once, the entrance way is understated. 1) SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship The Bar vs. The New Day (c) I wonder if Vince/WWE Management is ordering people to run the aisle tonight. Both tag teams were doing that coming to the ring.  Nice back and forth action with Kingston and Cesaro, along with Woods after getting the tag. Woods and Kingston had an awesome sequence of moves to start off. The Bar a minute later catches bot...
